About Top Notch Automotive
Top Notch Automotive, formerly Top Notch Transmission, was founded by Michael Carroll in the 1980’s. Mick made Top Notch well known through-out the area by providing excellent transmission repair and service. In 2018 Mick decided to retire and brothers, Jason Murra and Jerry Murra wanted to continue to provide the area with that same excellent transmission repair and service extending the business to include all other areas of vehicle repair.
Jason and Jerry are originally from Buffalo Center, Iowa. After graduating high school they moved to Sheldon and attended North West Iowa Community College.
Jerry graduated in 1990 taking Auto Body, Truck and Diesel, Auto Technician, Automotive Engine Machining, and Specialized electronics. Jerry worked at VanWyk Trucking in Sheldon, Iowa as a tractor mechanic, Worthington Power and Equipment John Deere dealership, AG CO Allis dealership as a diesel technician, Arnold Motor Supply as a Machinist, also Rosenboom Machine and Tool and Quatro/AIM Aerospace as a CNC Machinist and a Night supervisor.
Jason graduated in 1997, with Auto body, Auto Technician, and Truck and Diesel. Jason worked for Dirks Motors, Heartland Motors as well as Vos Motors where he was a Level 4 Certified Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep technician, and Arnold Motor supply as the Head Counterman.
